An update about the whole eating situation. This upper GI tract test came back clear. He has no anatomical problems. Wooohooo! What a relief. The dr. thinks he has a milk protein intolerance and some reflux. So, we are feeding him a formula for babies with a milk protein intolerance and supplementing with my dairy free pumped milk and making sure he is kept upright for 20-30 mins after he eats. He is doing soo much better. WAY less crying! I am so grateful. Happy baby makes a happy mom! Going dairy free isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I do miss milk the most! The soy milk is just not cutting it.
Other noteworthy things about James:
-He rolls! Actually he has been rolling for the last two weeks. Now that we is mobile I know life will never be the same again!! When I get him after his naps he is usually on his back smiling up at me so proud of himself that he rolled.
-He puts everything in his mouth and drools!! His hands are his favorite. He can now grasp toys and they go straight for his mouth.
Here are some recent pics of the cute guy.

I don't know how you are doing it. I did dairy free for 4 days and was going to jump off a bridge, than her doctor told me not to worry about it! So im being "moderate" with my dairy intake now.
But my cousin told me Rice Dream is the way to go for flavor in lactose free milk. I tried it and it was fine, i wouldn't want a glass but it was fine in my cereal and such! Try it!
Ohhh....I wish you luck in the car ride. I totally feel ya with the "Bad traveling baby" thing. I'm so glad he's been happier. The worst is behind you with all that, thank heavens. You are a champ for dealing with all that!
I think I would miss ice cream the most. What does that say about my eating habits? :) I'm SO glad things are going better with James though - what a relief to have found the solution! I really like his "read to me" onesie. Good luck travelling. My kids aren't great in the car either so I feel for you.
The onesie looks great on him!! I can't wait to see y'all!
Man he is so cute. I am glad that you guys were able to figure out how to make him happy. It is true that a happy baby equals a happy mom. I hope thanksgiving is great... we opted out on the long car ride this time. Good luck!
