SLEEP!! Last week we started letting James cry it out at night. He is six months and was waking up WAY too many times at night. The first 3 nights were bad. Now we put him to sleep at 7 and he sleeps until 7 with one wake up to eat. I am sleeping like 9 hours at night!! I feel like a new woman!!! What a difference sleep makes.
This is what James looks like when I am trying to cook dinner.

Check out those teethies!
This boy is officially a solids eater. He eats solids twice a day. He has only had veggies so far. He likes pretty much everything. Boy, is it messy! Don't worry, James is not naked. I just strip him down to his diaper every time he eats because his clothes are a total mess if I don't.
He is also learning how to drink out of a sippy cup.
Check out the chubs!
It has been cold here. I love his beanie.
My baby is on the move. Look at him in the crawling position.
This pic is for Sharon. Love the pjs!
Salmon dinner! This is the first time I had ever made fish. I'm not a huge fish eater, but will eat salmon. The dinner was a success. Here is the recipe. The recipe is from my friend's food blog. anythingbutmeatloaf.blogspot.com. You should check it out. Her recipes are delish.
BROWN SUGAR GLAZED SALMON-1 TBLSP brown sugar
-2 tsp. butter
-1 tsp. honey
-1 TBLSP olive oil
-1 TBLSP Dijon mustard
-1 TBLSP soy sauce
-1/2-3/4 tsp. salt (I ALWAYS use coarse/kosher salt...it makes a huge difference to me)
-1/4 tsp. pepper (and ALWAYS fresh ground black pepper...so yummy!)
-1 salmon fillet (2-2 1/2 lbs.)
In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook and stir the brown sugar, butter, and honey until melted. Remove from the heat; whisk in the oil, mustard, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cool for 5 minutes. Place salmon in a large foil-lined baking pan; brush with the brown sugar mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 20-25 mins. or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Wow, I cant beleive he is so big already. I am excited to see him for girls weekend.
Yay! I'm glad you liked the salmon. Believe me...I used to not be a "fish person" but now I make it once a week...love it. And I can't believe how cute James is!!! He seems SO much older than Ellery...all those teeth, sitting up like a pro and ready to move around the room...he needs to teach this girl some of his tricks!
He's getting so big!!! That salmon dish looks so good! Thanks for posting the recipe and for the tips on recipe blogs. I've been using the Favorite Family Recipes one recently to switch things up a bit.
Too cute... and wow, this reaffirms to me that my child is way too far behind in moving .Your 5 month old does more things than Colton, good thing we started physical therapy this week :) (Colton is at a 6 month old mobility, yikes)
He is so cute!
Britt, I was going through all the pictures thinking how stinking cute he is and how cute he looks in his high chair and then, wow, a picture just for me. Now he is triplets with Jackson and Bennett and poor Colton has different pajamas. Oh, well, all in the family, right! And I LOVE salmon. Seriously can't wait to try that recipe. Everything on that plate looks so delicious. I want to come to your house for dinner! Hmm, maybe you'll have to cook for us when you come to Houston. Maybe you can cook on Fast Food Wednesday!!
I make Salmon at least 2-3 times a month, so next time I make it I am going to have to use thi s recipe!! Sounds delish!
And James is the cutest boy ever:) SOOOOOOO glad you are all sleeping better. It is amazing how much of a difference there is when you have ta full nights rest.
Mmmm...that salmon looks divine. I'll have to try that soon. James is growing up so fast! I'm so glad he's sleeping better for you. Macie actually started sleeping through the night, too. It was totally out of the blue, she just did it one night. I won't complain, though :)
2 things:
1. He is soo incredible cute! Look at that drool-y smile!
2. You made salmon??? :)
WOOHOO! Sleep training is hard but so worth it!!! Congrats on the sleep. Your little one will sleep better too. He is so darling.
James is so cute! I made salmon for the first time last week as well. Your recipe seems a little more tasty than mine. I'm not a fish lover either, but am determined to eat more healthy this new year. I was pleasantly suprised that all of my boys liked the salmon! Hurray!
