A Weekend of BIG Surprises!

About a month ago my dad and I were talking on the phone and decided that it was time for me and James to go to Georgia so my grandparents could meet their first great-grandbaby. We also decided that it would be fun if we didn't tell our family in Georgia and it be a big surprise. I picked a weekend date and he arranged the flights. I was so excited because I love giving surprises! I was a little nervous about the long flight with just James and no help, but I told myself that I am a big girl and could handle it.
So, we flew from Lubbock to Houston and we had a layover there. We boarded our new plane that was going to take us to Savannah. James and I were sitting next to this lady and I got to chatting with her then I happened to look up and MY DAD was walking down the aisle of our plane!!! I was sooo SURPRISED!! He was going to come to Georgia with us! YEA! I loved the surprise!! Thanks, Dad! You are the best!
We had told just one of my aunts that we were coming into town. She had arranged for a big family dinner and no one knew we were going to be there. The surprise worked out fabulous! They couldn't believe were there!! We had so much fun in Georgia. Everyone spoiled James rotten!

These are the solids that James had eaten before we went to Georgia:
-veggies
-bananas

These are the solids that James had eaten by the end of our trip to Georgia (I didn't feed him any of these!):
-grits and eggs
-chocolate cake
-Chocolate frosting
-white frosting
-broccoli cheese soup
-hushpuppies
-noodles
-spinach dip
I was freaking out when my relatives first started giving him all these different foods, but I guess he lived!

On the way back from Georgia my flight from Houston back to Lubbock was cancelled due to snow in Lubbock. It turned out to be a good thing because we were able to see my mom and Uncle Jacob.

This is the view that I saw most of James while we were at the airports.
Huge chess set that is at the Lubbock airport kept his attention for awhile.James and my cute Aunt Gay.My aunt and uncle have 2 dogs. At first he was really scared of them, but after the first day he loved them. He would crawl after them and try to catch them, but they were always faster than him. He even loved it when they licked his face!

Thanks again, Dad, for such a fun trip!! Love you!

You look so beautiful and happy, although, I think you need a hair trim :)

Surprises are so fun! I love the picture of James and the chess set, and I think you will be getting a dog sometime in your future. Will you be in town for SCOPE? Maybe James can babysit Brooklyn...
