Love Day

V-day this year didn't go exactly as planned.

The day before Valentine' s Day, at the grocery store, they had samples of chocolate covered strawberries. I couldn't resist and bought the stuff to make them. The girl giving out the samples commented that they best way to melt the chocolate for dipping was in the crock pot. I decided to give it a try. Don't do it! It totally burns the chocolate! Burt chocolate is gross. I was so disappointed because I was looking forward to delicious chocolate covered strawberries!

This is before we knew the strawberries were disgusting tasting.
On actual V-day we had plans to drop off James at a friend's house so we could go out to dinner at this recommended Italian restaurant. Sadly, our sitter's daughter got sick so we couldn't go out. Boo. It wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't looking forward to our childless date ALL day long and that I had this idea in my mind of what our evening was going to be like. We didn't want to fight the V-day crowds with James so we decided to get take out from Outback instead. We should have just waited until James was in bed to eat but we were starved so we didn't. We tried to have a nice dinner just the two of us by putting on a movie for James. That lasted all of 5 minutes. Also, my food just wasn't that good. Whine, whine, whine.

Side note. No, I didn't get Botox on one side of my face. A few hours earlier I got a cavity filled. The dumness lasted hours! Hence, the wierd forced smile in all the pics. :)

It does have a happy ending because we got to put James to bed and do lots of this! ;)
