James' 2nd B-day!

James' birthday was July 16. A long time ago! We didn't end up celebrating it until the end of July because Sam was doing an ortho rotation at Tech and was super busy until then. That's what is great about having a boy turn 2, he has no idea when his b-day is and you can celebrate it whenever!

This is when he woke up on his "birthday." We had the balloons, streamers, and presents waiting for him. Got to love the "30th" b-day balloons left over from Sam's b-day! Showing us how old he is. Who shows 2 yrs old using two hands?! We have tried showing him how to show 2 on one hand and he refuses. Oh, well. Like the bed head?!

The party. I had big plans for this party and then mother nature changed all of that! We had a construction themed party since James is obsessed with all things construction. I was planning on having the tables decorated soo cute but that wasn't possible because it was WAY too windy. Anything we put on the table blew right off. The weather went from scorchingly hot and windy, to pouring down rain, to a little cooler and sunny again. Texas weather. And honestly it hadn't rained before this day in about 9 months! Oh well. The party turned out fun and James didn't care that his party wasn't decorated cute like mom wanted it to be.
