Check out Sam's headlamp. We were packing in the dark!
We made it to Lubbock! Finally! I have decided that I never want to move again. Way too much work. Before we moved we really thought that we didn't have that much stuff. Not so! We don't own any furniture except our bed and our stuff and it took up my volvo, sam's truck, and a whole trailer! I don't know how people move across country with kids and a fully furnished house! We thought we could make the drive from Provo to Lubbock in one day since the drive was supposed to take about 15 hours. We left Saturday at 6am and by 8pm we had only made it to Albuquerque and had 51/2 hours left and we were way too tired! How we still had over 5 hours and we had already driven all day we will never know. We decided that we should stay in a hotel for the night. We had one problem. All of our stuff in the back of Sam's truck was exposed and not locked up. I was paranoid that someone was going to steal our stuff so we hauled it all into our tiny hotel room for the night and then reload it all in the morning. Our neighbors who saw us hauling all of our boxes into our room for the night thought we were crazies! Oh, our clothes were in the back of the UHaul trailer so the clothes we wore all day Saturday we had to wear to bed and then all the next day too!
I was not excited to repack all of the boxes!

On Sunday afternoon we finally made it to our new place. We love it!!It is new, and clean, and white! After living in a basement for 2 years one forgets how bright it is in the morning in a place that has windows and is above ground! Since we only have a bed we have had to buy table and chairs, washer and dyer, desk, book shelf, and a couch. Here is a pic of our new table. We love it! The weather has been cooler than usual and that has been nice. It is also greener than we remembered! Yea!

On the 8th it was our 2nd anniversary!Deciding to get married to Sam was the best decision I have ever made! He makes my life so happy! Love you, babe! We really didn't know where to go to celebrate because we don't know our new town yet. We spent the day shopping for our new apartment and ate at a bbq place. Also, another thing that made our anniversary so great was that I got offered a job teaching Kindergarten!! Yea! It is in Frenship school district which is a little suburb of Lubbock. I met my Kindergarten team and the principal and they all seem really great!

ooh, pretty table! I like your facial expression in the hotel room, Britt. Moving sucks but it looks like you have a nice new place. Keep us updated!
cute new apartment. Post pictures of the whole thing. Congrats on the job offer! I can't believe you live so far away now!
I'm so glad you love your apartment. It sounds like things are going much better the second time around to Lubbick haha. I too love the table, but I must admit the old table had a certain class that your new table will need to earn. We miss you guys! Thanks for keeping us posted via your blog. You're such a blog natural from all your blog stalking!
Love the hair and the scary face. You definitely were not happy about moving those boxes. I love your new table. It looks fantastic. So glad you're a Texan again.
WHen Michael and I moved to California we didn't think we had that much stuff but we wrong too. It is amazing how much stuff you can find all through your house. Just wait till you have a kid. Avery had doubled our stuff. I am glad that you are in Lubbock and your apartment looks great! Good luck with it all! I am going to miss you guys back in Provo!
I miss you. The worst part is that when I get back you won't be there. It makes me sad and want to cry. Congrats on cool adventures in your life though!
